We are keen to work with the media including news outlets, publications, broadcasters, reporters, bloggers and other interested parties to ensure information about Sanctuary and our work is accurate and timely.
We can provide information, statistics, images and content on request. We will endeavour to respond to all enquiries promptly.
Our Press Office and the wider Communications department adhere to the CIPR Code of Conduct.
For media enquiries, please contact the Press Office: Email: pr@sanctuary.co.uk.

Freedom of Information
The UK's Freedom of Information Act gives individuals the right to access information held by public authorities, promoting transparency and accountability.
Data requests
We will always try to answer queries and requests for information, which are made in good faith, promptly and transparently. Where we are covered by Freedom of Information legislation in Scotland, we will always respond in line with the law.
We would always encourage journalists to contact us rather than putting in a Freedom of Information request, as we may be able to answer the query without needing to do that.

What can you expect from us?
We strive to provide useful, relevant news and information that adds to the online conversation and encourages dialogue with the online community.
We try to respond to as many relevant questions and comments as possible, but we reserve the right to use our judgment in selecting the messages we respond to. (Please read ‘what do we expect from you?’ to understand the types of posts we will not respond to.)
We monitor most of our social media accounts 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, except for bank holidays. The only exceptions are Sanctuary Housing Twitter/X, Sanctuary Housing Facebook, Sanctuary Supported Living Twitter/X and Sanctuary Supported Living Facebook, which are all monitored 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday, except for bank holidays. During these times we will reply as soon as possible.
Following or liking a social media account or piece of content does not mean we endorse it.
What do we expect from you?
We share a range of information on our social media accounts that we think may be useful. We welcome your thoughts on our content.
We ask that you are polite and courteous in contacting us. Name calling, profanity, discrimination, sexual harassment, bullying, obscene language or the like, will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to delete any posts of this type or block individuals which may cause offence to others in the online community.
All posts should come from a real person. Posts from ‘bots’, fake or anonymous profiles will not be engaged with or will be deleted when discovered.
Please do not share personal information such as your or anyone else’s phone number or address in publicly visible posts. If you send us any personal details in a private message, we will delete them natively from the relevant social media platform within two weeks of the enquiry being resolved.
Please review and familiarise yourself with each network’s terms of use carefully when engaging on these sites.
