Brighton is the happy home of Jon and his wife, their children and much-loved dog Lola.
He became a Sanctuary tenant in 2015 following a mutual house exchange. With time to spare and a background in housing, he was very keen to join the Panel.
“I have been supporting vulnerable people within their communities for around 15 years. Working with different social landlords, I have had roles in tenancy support, advice and resident support.
“For the last nine years I have been a learning disability worker. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, I’m currently only able to do this part-time.
“I am using my free time giving something back to the community. My heart is in supported housing and I have had the privilege of being involved in Sanctuary’s Family and Friends Tests.
“I enjoyed visiting services, listening to residents and looking at their housing environments. I was then able to feed back my views and any concerns as if I was a member of the family.
“I look forward to helping the NRSP promote transparency while providing scrutiny. My responses to Sanctuary will be from a customer point of view as well as helping influence change and putting the services in the spotlight.”
