“I have been a resident with Johnnie Johnson Housing (JJH) for fourteen years, during which time I have been actively involved in various resident groups and have taken part in the procurement of contractors, the recruitment of senior managers, CEO’s, and board members. For the past eight years I have been proud to represent and chair JJH’s North East Residents Forum and the Scrutiny Panel.
“I have worked in various social care settings, including residential care for children and young people, Mental Health Day services, and, prior to my retirement, an in-patient ward for people with advanced dementia.
“These experiences have shown me the valuable contribution people can make to the delivery of the services they receive. Working together I believe that we can have influence.”
