“I have an extensive background in teaching, having taught for more than thirty years in the UK and overseas. I am extremely interested in educational policy and practice in the UK, and the impacts of poverty, mental health, marginalisation, and housing.

“As in the Finnish model, I believe that everyone deserves decent, safe, affordable housing; access to safe, green spaces and community facilities; and fair treatment. As a member of the Resident Scrutiny Panel, I will be advocating for these things and more!

“I entered the third year of my doctoral studies in September 2024, and am transitioning from teaching to working with arts-based organisations. I will champion diversity, inclusivity and accessibility wherever I can.”
