Fire Risk Assessment

A Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) is carried out once a year at St Oswalds by one of our trained assessors.

The main purpose of the FRA is to:

  • Identify hazards
  • Assess risks
  • Create an action plan
  • Review the evacuation strategy

Safety Features

Plas Dinas has a number of safety features that are in place to keep you safe, some of these features are listed below:

Evacuation Strategy

The evacuation strategy for Plas Dinas is “Stay Put”.

This means that if the fire is not within your flat and you are not affected by fire or smoke, you are safe to remain within your flat with all doors and windows closed.

If the fire service chooses to change this evacuation strategy on attending the fire, they will inform you of this and provide instruction on your evacuation.

The drop downs below contain the information taken from the Fire Action Notice signs displayed within Plas Dinas. Please study this carefully to make sure you know what to do if there’s a fire in the building.

For more information on the “Stay Put” evacuation strategy, and general fire safety advice, please visit our fire safety page.
