Sanctuary is delighted to announce that it has been awarded silver status under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).
The Employer Recognition Scheme was launched to encourage employers to support defence and inspire others to do the same. The scheme is comprised of bronze, silver and gold awards for organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the Armed Forces Community.
As a leading national housing and care provider, Sanctuary is a proud supporter of the Armed Forces family, both as an employer and through our social purpose to provide housing, care and support. Providing a range of support for veterans through housing, employment and volunteering. Sanctuary’s Supporting Veterans Brochure provides details of our approach.
In 2017 Sanctuary signed the Armed Forces Covenant and have a dedicated offer for veterans, bringing together our services in one place for the first time, and actively support and promote awareness events including Reserves Day and Armed Forces Day.
Sanctuary is also a proud supporter of leading Armed Forces Charity Walking With The Wounded (WWTW).

They have been very supportive of the Armed Forces Community, employing active Reservists as well as military spouses and veterans.
