There were some ghoulish goings-on as youngsters from Lache enjoyed a Halloween activity day.
The spooky celebration at Lache Growing Space was organised by housing provider Sanctuary and the Friends of Lache and was attended by more than 70 people.
Children carved pumpkins and got hands on with some creepy-crawly craft activities led by the team from Chester Zoo, while local entertainer James the Jester demonstrated circus skills including juggling and stilt-walking.
Lache Growing Space is a community allotment site run by Sanctuary, where residents can enjoy spending time outdoors and growing their own fruit and veg.
Libbie Stock, Sanctuary’s youth co-ordinator, said: “We’d planted the pumpkin seeds at an earlier activity day back in the spring, so the children have been able to see them grow and learn more about nature.
“We’re really fortunate to have a facility like the growing space here in Lache, and it was lovely to host another fun-filled event for our local residents.”
