Choirs build confidence and community

In the Bretch Hill area of Banbury, we’re funding a music project for residents and the wider community that reduces social isolation, creates connections, and helps people learn new skills.

The project centres around two choirs – one for young people and their families called Vocal Band, and one for older people called Sing Out for Wellness.

Both groups build confidence and positive mental health through singing and performing. Vocal Band also gives young people the chance to learn about music production and signposts those who need extra help with anxiety and mental health. There are plans for the two choirs to come together for joint performances to create inter-generational connections.
