Sanctuary
We’re looking for a community-minded Chester resident to get involved and help shape the service we deliver in your local community.
We currently have a vacancy on our Chester and District Committee, which monitors the services we provide to our 6,500 homes in and around the city.
The committee is made up of six Sanctuary residents, two independent members and two local councillors, and also has an important say on community priorities and deciding how money is invested in the area.
It’s a great way to get involved and work more closely with us, and to have a genuine voice and influence on the matters that are important to you.
Experience is not essential – you simply need to be a Sanctuary resident and have a real desire to make a positive difference to the Chester community.
Committee members need to attend quarterly meetings, which are held both virtually and in person. The position is unpaid but expenses and full training are provided.
Ria Burns, our neighbourhood partnerships manager, said: “We’re committed to listening to our residents and putting those conversations at the heart of everything we do. The committee is an important part of that and a great way for residents to share their views on the services we deliver.
“We’d love to hear from any residents who are passionate about Chester and interested in helping us make a positive difference for our local communities.”
If you’re interested in joining the Chester and District Committee, or finding out more, please email ria.burns@sanctuary.co.uk by Monday 31 October.
