The UK government is putting in place a new safety regime for buildings over 18 metres or seven storeys high.
Residents’ voice requirements will be introduced to make sure everyone who lives in a high-rise is:
- informed about building safety
- engaged in discussions about how to keep their building safe (including their own responsibilities)
- empowered to challenge unsafe or unreasonable decisions.
The government is keen to collect a range of views from high-rise residents across the country.
