Most residents who contact us are polite, patient and appreciate us answering their questions. Our teams do their best to give you the information you need to help you manage your home.

Unfortunately, there are times when some residents choose to abuse our people, who are just trying to do their jobs. We have a zero tolerance approach to this type of behaviour and will take action against those whose actions are abusive.

Sadly, last month we were left with no choice but to secure a county court injunction against a resident who left abusive, threatening and offensive voicemails as well as phoning our offices more than 200 times.

A district judge extended an interim injunction granted last September after the staff involved gave evidence.

If the resident breaches the county court injunction they face being fined, returned to court or even jailed.

Daren Nowlan, Operations Director – Housing, said: “We don’t tolerate abusive behaviour and will take any action necessary to protect the wellbeing of our teams.”
