Sanctuary apprentices past and present are celebrating after being recognised at this year’s Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards

Katie Davies, who is now a talent acquisition planner at Sanctuary after completing her customer service apprenticeship, was named Apprentice Ambassador of the Year – recognising her commitment for championing apprenticeships to others.

The award is Katie’s second of the year, after being named Skills Champion of the Year at the West Midlands regional finals of the National Apprenticeship Awards back in October.

Several more of our Sanctuary colleagues were also finalists at this year’s Worcestershire awards.

Ashlee Boyne, a business and administration apprentice with our Sanctuary Care team, was shortlisted in the Advanced Level Apprentice of the Year  category.

Georgina Carroll, who is currently undertaking a Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship alongside her role as Qualification Administration Team Leader, was a finalist in the Higher Level Apprentice of the Year category.

And Nikki Albutt, our Senior L&D Partner – Apprentices, saw her work to support apprentices recognised with a shortlisting for Apprenticeship Ambassador of the Year.

Sanctuary’s national apprenticeship programme was established in 2008 and has since supported more than 2,000 people into work, both directly and indirectly through development partners.

Apprentices work in a variety of business areas, including finance, IT, housing, business and administration and health and social care, gaining valuable workplace experience while studying for practical qualifications alongside their day-to-day role.

“We’re extremely proud of all our apprentices at Sanctuary, along with our colleagues who support them. I’d like to say a huge well done to Katie, Ashlee, Nikki and Georgina for this well-deserved recognition.

Apprenticeships add real value to our business and are a great way for people of any age to learn new skills and unlock their potential.”
