We’re proud to have delivered 24 much-needed new affordable homes for local people in March, Cambridgeshire.

The new Kingswood Park development, in Kingswood Road, features a mixture of two and three-bedroom homes for affordable rent.

We worked closely with Fenland District Council to ensure the new homes would reflect and enhance the surrounding area, as well as best meeting the established local need for more high-quality affordable housing.

Considered external design and features such as dormer roofs mean Kingswood Park complements existing local properties, while the whole development is surrounded by retained mature trees and attractive open spaces.

The high-quality design has already been recognised with a shortlisting in ‘Best Affordable Housing Development - less than £10m’ category at the prestigious national Inside Housing Development Awards, which take place in September.

Cllr Jan French, deputy leader of Fenland District Council and town, district and county councillor for March, and deputy mayor of March, Cllr Andrew Woollard, visited the site and met representatives from Sanctuary to mark the completion of the new homes.

They were joined by Dan Horn, assistant director at Fenland District Council and Tom Walczak, the council’s housing strategy and enabling officer.

Cllr French said: “I’m so pleased to see these new affordable homes built here in March and hear that local people and families from the area are now making Kingswood Park their home.

“I’d like to thank Sanctuary for their partnership and commitment to supporting Fenland and providing new, high-quality homes that people can afford.”

Sarah Brind, our head of development – south, commented: “We’ve worked closely with Fenland District Council throughout, and were delighted to welcome the representatives to Kingswood Park to see how our shared vision for the site has become a reality.

“The wider local response has also been fantastic, and I’m delighted that we’ve been able to deliver these new homes and play our part in helping to meet the housing needs of people in Cambridgeshire.”
