It’s been a little over seven years since the tragedy at Grenfell Tower that caused the deaths of 72 people and devastated the lives of so many.
Today, the Grenfell Inquiry has published its final report into the disaster.
Keeping our customers safe is our top priority and we have already taken significant steps to ensure our homes are safe places for our customers to live. This has included:
- Registering all 64 of our high-rise buildings with the Building Safety Regulator, meaning key building information is now held on a public register. We’re also responding accordingly to their requests for Building Assessment Certificates, which will all be due for submission at various points over the next five years.
- Visiting our residents who live in our high-rise buildings to have conversations about safety. We provide them with a Resident Engagement Strategy to explain how their building is designed and managed to keep them safe and how to raise concerns. We ensure that customer concerns about safety in high-rise buildings are heard and reviewed and we’ve made some effective improvements based on their feedback.
We will be taking the time to review the report in full detail and identify any actions we need to take from this. We’ll deliver this work through our dedicated building safety team, who will continue to engage closely with our residents to make sure their views are heard and understood.
