The Transfer of Engagements of Johnnie Johnson Housing (JJH) to Sanctuary has today (Friday 31 January) been completed.
Completion of the transfer will see JJH’s housing and telecare services join Sanctuary and is an important part of the journey to improve homes and services for the benefit of customers.
JJH customers have been involved throughout the process, working closely with Sanctuary’s teams and sharing their feedback through a series of consultations and in-person events.
Colleagues from JJH have also transferred to Sanctuary arrangements, with many taking on wider responsibilities, providing access to new opportunities, networks, rewards and benefits.
The transfer programme of people, process and structural change, including technology and data migration, has been completed within 11 months of JJH joining Sanctuary in February 2024.
The transfer has already enabled many advantages for customers and wider stakeholders. These include a £200,000 donation to SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, in August last year, comprising a legacy from JJH’s founder, which was topped up by Sanctuary.
It has also seen the creation of a new specialised Independent Living team within Sanctuary, focused on supporting customers aged 55 and over living in homes that have warden call or telecare systems.
Sanctuary Group Chief Executive, Craig Moule, said: “As a larger organisation with considerable financial strength, we have a proud history of growing our services through acquisitions, allowing more investment in homes and services, benefitting the people who matter most - our customers.
“Combining the best of both organisations makes us more efficient and more resilient, and we look forward to a brighter future together.”
