Sanctuary Supported Living has been awarded gold accreditation by Investors in People.
The national, not-for-profit organisation, which provides supported living services, retirement communities and technology enabled living, has been awarded an Investor’s in People accreditation for the second time and retains gold standard until 2025.
The accreditation followed an unbiased and independent assessment of its people practices, and outcomes. All Sanctuary Supported Living staff had the opportunity to share their thoughts, feelings, and opinions.
The report highlighted that there is a “shared passion in delivering high-quality, person-centred services that many take pride in being part of Sanctuary Supported Living”, and that “strong values have been refreshed and brought a stronger focus on inclusion, teamwork, and empowerment. Many people commented that the culture is a significant factor that keeps them at Sanctuary or attracted them to apply for a role.”
Only 17% of organisations achieve gold and the accreditation is something that each and every member of the of the organisation should be proud of. The achievement recognises that everyone supports each other and is doing their best to make work better - in turn, supporting its customers to achieve positive outcomes on their pathways for independence.
It’s thanks to the collective efforts of each of our 3,000 colleagues who strive to be their best every day.

The assessment came following a period of significant challenge due to the pandemic, sector wide skills shortages and cost of living increases.
